In Linda Bailey’s and Melanie Watt’s newest books, two very different protagonists look to fulfill their destiny. In Bailey’s When Santa was a Baby, an odd ball baby boy embraces the need to give gifts of love at a young age. Another destiny is fulfilled in Watt’s Bug in a Vacuum, as a courageous insect goes on a hilarious journey to escape his current predicament. Bailey and Watt are able to explore complex ideas in a subtle, entertaining and educational way. Both artists are returning to Wordfest and once again will inspire young readers to harness their creativity when sharing their own stories. For grades 1 to 3.
