Elizabeth-MayIn conversation with Chris Turner, Elizabeth May reflects on her extraordinary life and the individuals and experiences that informed her beliefs. In Who We Are: Reflections on My Life and Canada, part manifesto, part memoir, she calls for a critical look at Canada’s economy, the climate crisis and democracy.

Elizabeth May is an environmentalist, writer, activist and leader of the Green Party of Canada. In 2011, May made history as the first Green Party candidate to be elected to the House of Commons. She is the Member of Parliament for the riding of Saanich-Gult Islands.

Chris Turner is a novelist, nine-time National Magazine Award winner and a sought-after speaker on the rise of the global green economy. He is a celebrated feature writer for The Walrus, Canadian Geographic and The Globe and Mail. The writer was named one of Alberta’s “Next 10” Most influential People by Alberta Venture and one of Calgary’s “Top 40 Under 40” by Avenue Magazine.

The evening includes an audience Q&A and book signing following the event.
