Kate Harris is a writer, former scientist, and Rhodes Scholar who lives off the grid in British Columbia. A self-described “explorer with a grudge against borders and a knack for getting lost,” Kate will inspire students to “dream, think, and act beyond borders, in the hopes they seek out their own roads, wherever they may lead.” Named one of Canada’s Top 10 adventurers, she is the author of the best-selling memoir Lands of Lost Borders, which recounts her travels on a bike from Turkey to the Himalayas.
