A multi-year instructor at the Writers’ Guild of Alberta’s WordsWorth youth camp, Marcello Di Cintio is the author of four books, including Walls: Travels Along the Barricades, which won the Writer’s Trust of Canada’s Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing, as well as the City of Calgary W.O. Mitchell Book Prize. In the just-released Pay No Heed to the Rockets, Marcello reveals the complex story of the Palestinian experience as seen through the lens of its writers, uncovering a humanity, and a beauty, often overlooked by the news media. Marcello is available for either a writing workshop, or a timely author’s talk, in which he’ll explore how to write about sensitive topics.
