Set in 1665 London, The Blackthorn Key tells of 14-year-old Christopher, an apprentice to a master apothecary, who learns the secrets of transforming simple ingredients into powerful medicines and weapons. Along with his best friend, Christopher must uncover the truth behind a mysterious cult, following a trail of puzzles, codes, pranks, and danger toward an unearthly secret with the power to tear the world apart.
