ARCHIVE – Nick Cutter

Nick Cutter has published multiple works under different names. As Nick Cutter, he writes horror novels such as the critically acclaimed The Troop. Under Craig Davidson, he’s written four books, including Cataract City, which was nominated for the Scotiabank Giller Prize in 2013. Parts of Rust and Bone, his collection of short stories, were written into a play and later shot as an independent film. Born in Toronto but raised in Calgary and St. Catherine, Cutter now lives with his partner Colleen and their child in Toronto.

The Deep

A strange plague called the “Gets” is decimating humanity on a global scale. It causes people to forget – small things at first, like where they left their keys. . . then their bodies forget how to function involuntarily…and there is no cure. But now, far below the surface of the Pacific Ocean, an unknown substance hailed as “ambrosia” has been discovered and it may just be the key to a universal cure. In order to study this phenomenon, a special research lab has been built eight miles under the sea’s surface. But now the station is incommunicado and it’s up to a brave few to descend through the lightless fathoms in hopes of unraveling the mysteries lurking at those crushing depths.
