Andrew Wedderburn & Lorrie Matheson

Andrew Wedderburn and Lorrie Matheson are two-thirds of Night Committee, a rock and roll group from Calgary that plays hook-driven post-punk (think Hüsker Dü with organ solos) that will make you want to mimeograph your own fanzine. The duo version of the group is less fuzz-tone and more piano-ballad, foregrounding the lyrics in an acoustic setting.

Wedderburn’s debut novel, The Milk Chicken Bomb, was published by Coach House Books in 2007. It was shortlisted for the Amazon.ca/Books in Canada First Novel Award.

Matheson is an accomplished and well-respected singer-songwriter, a staple of Calgary stages for several decades now.
