Arun Lakra

Arun Lakra (Calgary, AB, Canada) wears many hats. He is a doctor, musician, songwriter, screenwriter and playwright. As a writer, he has produced a book on laser eye surgery, a supernatural thriller screenplay, a song to protest the demotion of Pluto and a line of misunderstood t-shirts. At Wordfest, Lakra will be presenting Sequence, his second stage play and the winner of many awards, including the 2011 Alberta Playwriting Competition. With sharp wit and playful language, Sequence evokes question: does order really matter? Lakra currently resides in Calgary, where he divides his time between his creative endeavours and his ophthalmology practice.
