Alison Pick
Alison Pick (ON, Canada) has written for The Walrus, the Globe and Mail, the National Post and enRoute magazine. Her first collection of poems, Question & Answer, was a finalist for the Gerald Lampert Award and the E.J. Pratt Newfoundland and Labrador Book Award. In 2002, Pick won the Bronwen Wallace Award for most promising Canadian poet. Her poetry has gone on to win the National Magazine Award and the CBC Literary Award. At Wordfest, Pick presents Between Gods, her memoir detailing the journey she took in reaching out to her distant Jewish heritage, as well as learning to accept the past and embrace the future while battling depression.
