Emma Donoghue
Emma Donoghue (IRE/CAN) is best known for her novels of many genres, which range from the historical to the contemporary, and have been translated in over forty languages. Donoghue’s international bestseller, Room, was a New York Times Best Book of 2013 and was a finalist for the Man Booker, Commonwealth and Orange Prizes. At Wordfest, Donoghue presents her latest novel, Frog Music, which is about a long-forgotten, never-solved crime from 1876, written in a thrilling, cinematic style. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Donoghue has lived in Cambridge where she received her doctorate in eighteenth-century literature. She currently resides in London, Ontario with her partner and their two children.
