Ken Wylie
Ken Wylie (USA) is a certified guide with the International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations, and has adventured on some of the greatest climbs and ski descents in the world. His education career spans 30 years, and has included faculty positions at Mount Royal University, Thompson Rivers University and Outward Bound Canada, where he was instrumental in developing a highly successful therapeutic adventure program for Canadian Military Veterans. At Wordfest, Wylie presents Buried, about the tragic avalanche released from Tumbledown Mountain in 2003, resulting in the death of seven. In the book, the author, who was an assistant guide for the expedition, delves deep into the human factors that played into putting people in harm’s way.
