Kim Fu

ForTodayIAmABoyKim Fu (CAN/USA) holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia. She has written for NPR, Maisonneuve, The Rumpus, The Tyee, the Stranger, Prarie Fire and Best Canadian Essays. Fu is also the news columns editor for This, a magazine of progressive politics, and author of an advice column she facilitates on her website. At Wordfest, Fu presents For Today I Am a Boy, a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice about the only son in a family of daughters whose dreams are different than those of his father’s, for he knows that he is a girl. Born in Canada, Fu currently resides in Seattle with her husband.
