Leanne Shapton

Leanne Shapton (CAN/USA) is an illustrator, author and publisher based in New York City. She began her career at the National Post, and since then has published a book of her drawings, contributed a regular column to Elle magazine, been the art director of the New York Times Op-Ed page and contributed a regular column to The Moment, the New York Times Style Magazine’s blog. Her book Swimming Studies, won the 2012 National Book Critic’s Circle Award for autobiography and was long-listed for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year 2012. Currently, she contributes a food and culture column to Flare magazine.
