Ricardo Siri Liniers
Ricardo Siri Liniers (Argentina), simply known as Liniers to most, is an acclaimed and well-beloved Argentine cartoonist whose work has been compared to that of Charles Schultz and Bill Watterson. Liniers’ popular daily comic strip Macanudo, has been published in the Argentine newspaper La Nación for the past ten years. When he’s not drawing comic strips, Liniers travels around the world with musician Kevin Johansen, painting on canvases while Johansen plays music. At Wordfest, Liniers presents his first books published in English, The Big Wet Balloon and Macanudo #1. The Big Wet Balloon is a picture book inspired by a rainy day of playing that his young daughters shared.
