Sheri-D Wilson

Sheri-D Wilson (Calgary, AB, Canada) is author to many collections of poetry and is the founder of the Calgary Spoken Word Festival. Her collection Re:Zoom won the 2006 Stephan G. Stephansson Award for Poetry, and was short-listed for the CanLit Award. Her other awards include the FFWD Readers’ Choice Best Poet, as well as being named one of the CBC Arts Top Ten Poets in Canada. In addition to her poetry collections, Wilson has two spoken word CDs, and four award-winning video poems. At Wordfest, Wilson presents Open Letter: Woman Against Violence Against Women, a collection of poems dedicated to those who have been harmed and seek a path to recovery, focused on the topic of violence against women.
