This book is a collaboration between Sheila Heti, Heidi Julavits and Leanne Shapton. It includes contributions from 639 women from around the world who were interviewed, wrote essays, answered an online survey, took photographs, and in other ways documented their relationship to clothes and consumerism, in essence answering the question, Why do we wear what we wear?
