To Rise Again at a Decent Hour by Joshua Ferris is about a man’s confrontation with his troubled past and his uncertain future in a life disturbingly split between the real and the virtual. Paul O’Rourke loves the world, but doesn’t know how to live in it.
The Answer to Everything by Elyse Friedman is the story of a perpetually broke artist and a humorous examination of the gap between reason and faith, and the human need for connection, love and transcendence.
