Graphic artist Scott Chantler and author Jonathan Auxier share the stage as they disclose secrets behind their enthralling, imaginative reads.
In his most recent instalment of the award-winning Three Thieves graphic novel series, The King’s Dragon, Scott Chantler delivers a high-action adventure story, complete with sword fighting and chase scenes. Chantler’s dramatic art offers emotional close-ups and believable backdrops which are sure to engage young readers.
Jonathan Auxier’s most recent novel, The Night Gardener, is a mesmerizing Victorian ghost story with shades of Washington Irving and Henry James. In the book, two abandoned Irish siblings travel to work as servants at a creepy English manor house, but the house and servants are not what they seem and the children face an ancient curse which threatens their lives. In addition to writing, Auxier also teaches creative writing and children’s literature.
