Democracy in Peril with David Moscrop
Hosted by Melanee Thomas
Why do people make bad political decisions? How can we make better ones? Think Brexit. Trump’s MAGA. The Freedom Convoy. In an era overshadowed by income inequality, environmental catastrophes, terrorism at home and abroad, and the decline of democracy, David Moscrop argues that the political decision-making process has never been more important. Drawing on political science and psychology, the Washington Post opinionator examines how our brains, our environment, the media and institutions influence decision-making, when the political odds are sometimes stacked against us.
This 60-minute conversation, which is all about the audience Q&A (and book signing), will be hosted by Dr. Melanee Thomas, whose expertise is in gender-based political inequality, with a particular focus on political attitudes and behaviour.
