Who better to headline the final show of Wordfest’s 29th annual fall festival than one of the smartest, tastiest, and disarmingly approachable geniuses we’re so grateful to call a Wordfest alumna: Rachel Kushner (2024 Booker Prize longlisted for Creation Lake). Whether in person in 2018 promoting The Mars Room, or online in 2021 with The Hard Crowd, we’ve seen time and time again that Kushner is the definition of a big, discerning, literary brain in action.
