Sarah Leavitt
Sarah Leavitt is an acclaimed cartoonist and author of the graphic memoir, Tangles: A Story About My Mother, Alzheimer’s, and Me, which was the first graphic work to ever be recognized by the Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction. It was also a Globe and Mail Top 100 Book of 2010 and won numerous other awards. Her prose and comics have appeared in anthologies and newspapers, both nationally and internationally. Leavitt lives in Vancouver where she teaches comics classes in the Creative Writing Program at the University of British Columbia.
