Friday Night Showcase

Three marquee authors, all Governor General Literary Award luminaries, on one stage in conversation. And in celebration of their remarkable new offerings. Bezmozgis’s short-story collection Immigrant City, Donoghue’s novel Akin, and Irani’s auto-fiction exploration Translated from the Gibberish will be brought to life in short readings by local actors, directed by #YYC theatre creator Ellen Close, who is also one of the most avid readers we know.

This event is organized in collaboration with the Canada Council for the Arts to celebrate the finalists and winners of the Governor General’s Literary Awards.
