Emily St. John Mandel

Emily St. John Mandel (CAN/USA) was born and raised in British Columbia. She is author to many short stories, essay and novels, including The Lola Quartet, Last Night in Montreal and The Singer’s Guns. Her work has been included in numerous anthologies, such as The Best American Mystery Stories 2013. In addition to writing, Mandel has studied contemporary dance at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre. At Wordfest, she presents her most recent novel, Station Eleven, about the short-lived nature of fame and the beauty of the world as we know it. She currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband.
