Samantha Warwick

Samantha Warwick (Calgary, AB, Canada) is the author of the novel Sage Island and was the official Wordfest blogger for 2013. Her nonfiction and poetry have been broadcast on CBC Radio and appeared in literary and commercial publications such as Geist, Event, The Globe and Mail and FASHION.

Samantha has coached competitive swimming in both Vancouver and Calgary, and has competed in long-distance open water races in British Columbia, California, New York, Barcelona and at the 2014 FINA World Masters Championships in Montreal. Samantha curates the Writers’ Guild of Alberta’s monthly event series, blogs and coaches Calgary’s LGBTQ swim team, Different Strokes.
