Up Ghost River Book JacketEdmund Metatawabin engages in a conversation about the dark legacy of the Residential School system, and reads from his new book, Up Ghost River: A Chief`s Journey Through the Turbulent Waters of Native History.

Metatawabin, former Chief of Fort Albany First Nation, is a Cree writer, educator and activist. A residential school survivor, he has devoted himself to righting the wrongs of the past, and educating Native youth in traditional knowledge.

The event is presented in partnership with Glenbow, and coincides with the museum’s new exhibit, Where are The Children: Healing the Legacy of the Residential Schools.
