It's National Volunteer Week

Dear Volunteers,

It’s National Volunteer Week, and we want to take this opportunity to thank for all your hard work and dedication to Wordfest. With your incredible help and support, together we’ve been able to inspire Calgarians to live more creative and empathetic lives, and to spark lively, illuminating and meaningful conversations between our city’s readers and the world’s most engaging writers.

For 21 years our not-for-profit organization has brought together writers from around the world to share stories and discuss ideas with readers through year-round literary events and a premier international festival each October. More than 900 writers have presented at these events over the past 20 years. The Festival in October has now approximately 70 separate events across Calgary and attracts an audience of more than 15,000. We hope you’ll save the date for the upcoming wordfest from October 7-17, 2016.
