Melanie Watt to appear in 20th Anniversary Festival Lineup

Melanie Watt to appear in Calgary, October 14-16, 2015

(Calgary, AB- Wednesday, May 20, 2015) Wordfest is excited to announce that award winning French-Canadian children’s author and illustrator, Melanie Watt will be returning to the 20th anniversary Festival.

Melanie Watt is best known for her creative picture books that include her Scaredy Squirrel series that recently was adapted into a television series. Watt displays her ability not only to expand the series, but also develop other works such as the Chester trilogy, Leon the Chameleon, and You're Finally Here. This year Melanie Watt will be releasing a new book, Bug in a Vacuum, which she is excited to share with young readers throughout Calgary during Wordfest. The book is already receiving early praise as Melanie Watt continues to solidify here status as one of the most celebrated children’s authors in Canada.
