Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now GivingTuesday is coming to Canada on December 2, 2014.
GivingTuesday marks the “opening day of the giving season” in which charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.
About Donating to Wordfest
Wordfest is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that contributes to the cultural vitality of the community by bringing readers and writers together through the power of story.
Wordfest’s main event is a literary festival that features upwards of 65 writers from the local, national and international stage, attracting an audience of over 15,000 to Calgary and Southern Alberta.
Whether as a volunteer, an individual donor, a community partner or sponsor, all contributions to Wordfest are valuable and welcomed. They are an investment in our city, helping to build communities through a shared love of reading, writing, learning and exchanging ideas.
