Play excerpts from the following:

Where the Two Spirit Lives by Marshall Vielle:

A new creation that incorporates personal text and experimental movement weaved through fabulous Drag performances as a way of exploring themes of authenticity, isolation, and the revitalization of traditional ways of knowing. Autobiographical in nature, it examines the intersectionality of being both Queer and Indigenous in a contemporary society.

Of Human Bondage by Vern Thiessen:

When Philip meets Mildred, a disarming tea-shop waitress, he finds his yearning for art and experience consumed by his intense attraction to her. Mildred, for all her teasing, isn’t all that interested in Philip, but rather in flattery, possessions, and security. Yet Philip, in a powerful haze of passion and pride, obsessively pursues Mildred despite the anguish and emotional carnage that repels and binds them at all costs. Of Human Bondage is a grand story of lust, unrequited love, and the pursuit of beauty.

Undressed by Louise Casemore:

The planning, the vows, the traditions, the ceremony, the party, the cake…THE DRESS!  But what happens when happily ever after isn’t ever after? Using interviews, site visits, cabaret spots and personal experience, Undressed takes us through the journey of divorce and the unanticipated hardship of getting rid of her wedding dress. Told with honesty and humour, Undressed explores what it’s like to try to create a new life while trying to unload the old one.

SSSH by Cheryl Foggo:

As an artist, one of the things that interests Cheryl Foggo is dramatizing the lives of people of African descent whose stories are unknown. In this excerpt from a longer work, Annie Saunders, a Black woman who arrived in Pincher Creek in the late 1800s to work as a domestic servant for Colonel James Macleod and his family receives 3 visitors.
