Christina Frangou

Christina Frangou is a freelance magazine writer from Calgary who specializes in writing about health and medicine. Her work has appeared in the Globe and Mail, Avenue, Swerve, Alberta Views, FASHION, and the Huffington Post. In 2017, she won a National Newspaper Award in long feature writing for a story about her experience as a young widow in the aftermath of her husband’s death. A graduate of Carleton University and the London School of Economics, she is the recipient of multiple Alberta Magazine Awards and has been nominated for a National Magazine Award.
