Michael Hingston is the author of Let’s Go Exploring, a critical and cultural analysis of the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, and the campus novel The Dilettantes. Both books were #1 regional bestsellers. His journalism has appeared in Wired, the Guardian, the Walrus, and the Atlantic. He is also the cofounder of Hingston & Olsen Publishing, the outfit behind the Short Story Advent Calendar and the Ghost Box. The Washington Post recently called H&O “a little Canadian publisher whose creations remind us what e-books can’t do.” Hingston lives with his family in Edmonton.
