Donations can be made online through canadaHelps.org or by personal cheque, payable to Wordfest and addressed to Wordfest, 117-200 Barclay Parade SW, Calgary, Alberta, T2P 4R5. Wordfest is a registered charity (CRA# 850647835rr0001). Gifts made to Wordfest before year-end, are eligible for a tax credit when filing for the 2015 tax season.

Wordfest needs volunteers for a variety of positions throughout the year and during the Festival week each October, including a Read and Review program in which volunteers submit book reviews and recommendations year-round. Each year, more than 10,000 students experience the magic of interacting with live authors during Wordfest. Thanks to targeted contributions from sponsors and donors like you, the Festival is able to make these experiences accessible to schools and parents who otherwise would not have the ability or resources to participate.

Wordfest keeps it’s programming fun and accessible, with free events held throughout the Festival week. One example is the OctoberFEST LAB, which debuted at the 2015 Festival, and offered nightly free programming that featured the city’s highly respected local writing community.
