Not only do Anne Villeneuve and Cybele Young have their incredible illustration skills in common, but also they’re both Governor General Literary Award winners. The two authors are excited to share the stage and present their works to Calgary’s young readers. Villeneuve’s Loula series takes readers on wacky adventures with a loveable protagonist who attempts to save her dog, discover the recipe to make a sister and even make a trip to Africa! Cybele Young’s newest book, The Queen’s Shadow, involves the humourous hunt for the thief that took the one thing the queen thought she’d never lose. The two authors’ passion for illustration makes this a must-see presentation for picture book readers. For grades K-4.
*All ticket holders and school groups at this event are invited to participate in an optional craft activity in the lobby of the Glenbow Museum, outside the ConcocPhillips Theatre. The activity is presented in partnership with Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.
