Kate Pullinger
Kate Pullinger (CAN/UK) writes for both print and digital platforms. Her novel The Mistress of Nothing won the Governor General’s Literary Award for fiction. Pullinger’s prize-winning digital fiction projects Inanimate Alice and Flight Paths: A Networked Novel have reached audiences around the world. In Landing Gear, which is being presented at Wordfest, Pullinger draws on the real-life accounts of airplane stowaways to explore the complexity of contemporary life and the unexpected ties that bring people together. Born in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Pullinger currently resides in England, where she is a professor of creative writing and digital media at Bath Spa University.
