Scott Chantler

Scott Chantler (ON, Canada) is the Joe Shuster Award-winning cartoonist of many graphic novels, including the Three Thieves series, Northwest Passage and Two Generals, which was long-listed for CBC’s Canada Reads: True Stories. In addition to being a cartoonist, Chantler teaches a class on writing for graphic novels at Max the Mutt Animation School in Toronto, and is a commercial illustrator, whose clients have included McDonald’s, Reebok, Macy’s, Rogers, and Maclean’s. At Wordfest, Chantler presents the fourth and fifth installments of the Three Thieves series, The King’s Dragon and Pirates of the Silver Coast, both of which are high action tales featuring Chantler’s evocative art. Chantler currently resides in Waterloo.
