Michael Cho

Michael Cho (ON, Canada) is an illustrator, cartoonist and writer who was born in South Korea, but has lived in Canada since the age of six. Cho is author to Back Alleys and Urban Landscapes, a collection of sketches which depict Toronto’s cityscape while capturing its urban beauty. At Wordfest, Cho presents his debut graphic novel, Shoplifter, about Corinna Park, an English literature graduate who once imagined herself writing a successful novel and leading the idealized life of an author. Instead, Park is stuck writing copy at an advertising agency she has worked at for five years. The novel is about her search to find happiness and self-fulfilment. Cho currently resides in Toronto.
