There are two pass options available for sale at the button below. We offer an All-Access Pass ($99 + GST) and an All-Access Pass that includes the 25@25 Limited Edition Book ($125 + GST). (This works out to $7.60 per event.)
We have created detailed step-by-step instructions here on how to connect to the paywalled 25@25 livestreams available with your pass or if you have single tickets to the event. We recommend that you practice getting into the livestream for your next event as soon as possible, ahead of showtime, so that you’re all set for the live broadcast and so our team can troubleshoot any issues in advance.

Yes! Single tickets to 25@25 events will be made available online seven days before each event, as the next week’s author pairings are announced, for $15 + GST. Admission includes the on-demand viewing option for just that event.
If, at any point between Sept. and Dec., you decide that you want to watch all the remaining events live and on-demand, as well as have on-demand access to previous conversations, you can still buy one of the two passes.
Every Tuesday at 7 p.m. MT from Sept. 8, 2020 until Dec. 8, 2020.
Each 25@25 event is a one-hour conversation that you’ll be able to watch as a live broadcast or on demand. Note: We are planning a special event on Tuesday, Nov. 3 for the U.S. election, so there will not be a 25@25 event that night.
If you have purchased a pass or single tickets to 25@25, you can watch the events live or on-demand from the “Watch Live-streams” section of your Showpass Account. Only the events to which you are entitled to access will appear in your account. We will also send you a direct link to the livestream in our email reminders for each event. Because 25@25 content is exclusive and behind a paywall, you may be required to enter your Showpass Account login and password upon visiting the livestream links if you are not already logged in.
We are on social media on Facebook, Twitter (@WordfestTweets), and Instagram (@Wordfest). We encourage you to tag us in posts sharing where you’re watching from, images of the books on your nightstand, and of the treats you’ll receive along the way. We encourage you to use #Wordfest25 to track all of your Wordfest 25@25 content, and just for you, #ImAWordfester too.
For some extra fun, we’ve made this gif just for you to share:
Our best advice all-around: make a night of it and make it fun. Think of ways to make the 7-8 p.m. time-slot truly YOURS, and a special occasion you look forward to each week. Plan a nice home-cooked meal or support local and treat yourself to takeout from a favourite restaurant. Organize virtual “watch parties” with friends and family outside your home who are also taking in 25@25. Consider giving them a phone call, text, or video chat before or after the event to talk about the show.
You will be able to watch the live-streams from any device with an internet connection and a modern web browser capable of displaying video content (smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops).
For a distraction-free viewing experience, we recommend going “full screen” by clicking the icon in the lower right corner of the video player.
For viewers looking to interact with fellow Wordfesters online and send questions to the authors, you’ll want to stay out of full-screen mode. You’ll also want to make sure you are logged into the Facebook-powered chatroom we have created to the right of the video player. This chatroom is available exclusively to ticket and pass holders watching the event live behind the paywall. A Facebook account is required for the chat feature. You may also send Q&A questions by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have an Apple TV, Roku or Smart TV, and want to experiment with watching the 25@25 experience on your home theatre set up, this is also a possibility with the right equipment. Here is a great resource with tips and tricks for connecting a computer to your HD television for a bigger screen experience.
Regardless of how you decide to watch 25@25, we strongly recommend you do some basic testing of your setup ahead of the first broadcast. An easy way to do this is to watch a recent live stream recording from Wordfest.com here. Make sure you can hear the audio well and that the video isn’t choppy. If something seems wonky with your setup, contact Everett for assistance.
Yes! You will be able to watch on-demand at any time until the end of December 2020, from the “Watch Live-streams” section of your Showpass Account. On-Demand viewing becomes available within 10-15 minutes after a live broadcast ends. Only the events to which you are entitled to access will appear in your account. The direct links to the live-streams provided in our email reminders will also take you right to the on-demand event recording, if you missed seeing it live.
Because 25@25 content is exclusive and behind a paywall, you may be required to enter your Showpass Account login and password upon visiting any links to the on-demand content if you are not already logged in.
All Platinum Pass Holders must first obtain their 25@25 all-access pass using their Platinum access code at checkout here or RSVP to email@example.com. This registration step for Platinum Pass Holders ensures that access to the live-streams is enabled correctly on their Showpass accounts. If a Platinum Pass Holder does not already have a Showpass account, they will be prompted to create one at checkout.
Your Showpass Account (i.e. the email and password you entered at checkout) is the same login you will use to access the paywalled live streams on Showpass. To maintain the security of our paid live streams, a guest checkout option is not available. All ticket buyers are required to create or use an existing Showpass Account at time of purchase.
If you do not currently have a Showpass account or are unsure what your login might be, please click here to create an account, or you may retrieve your existing account password here. You will also have the ability to create an account of retrieve your existing password during the checkout process when buying tickets and passes.
If you have purchased the specially commissioned 25@25 book, we will reach out to you by email when it is ready for pickup or delivery after Nov. 15. There will also be individual copies available for sale on our website for $35.
To give you a taste of the incredible talent in the 25@25 lineup, we’re announcing four of the 12 pairings so far: Genki Ferguson & Will Ferguson, Charlie Kaufman & Iain Reid, Lawrence Hill & Zalika Reid-Benta, Eden Robinson & Emily St. John Mandel, Ian Williams & Margaret Atwood, and Seth & Leanne Shapton.
At the end of every Tuesday event, the authors will reveal the names of the next authors that will be following them in our Daisy Chain. The fun part is that you won’t know who is appearing until one week before they take our virtual stage at Wordfest.com.
How generous of you! The best way to gift a pass is to purchase a 25@25 as a separate order under your own name, Showpass Account and credit card first. Then log into your account, and initiate a transfer of your ticket or pass purchase to someone else. You can do this by following the steps outlined here, making sure to double-check that you have your gift-recipient’s email entered correctly.
If you were lucky to receive a pass or tickets from a friend or family member as a gift, all you need to do is keep your eyes out for an order confirmation email from Showpass indicating that tickets or passes have been transferred to you. The email may include a “Complete Order” button, which you will need to click and follow any steps required to ensure the tickets are added correctly to your Showpass Account. At this point, you may be prompted to create a Showpass Account if you do not already have one.
Authors share the most marvelous things at our events. So that you can just sit back and enjoy the show, we make notes of the quotes, write down all the recommendations, and fill in the blanks with links, photos, and background information. (And these highly visual recaps are a bonus for those who signed up but may have missed the live broadcast or haven’t had a chance yet to watch it on-demand).
