If you are taking Light Rail Transit (LRT), the East-Bound and West-Bound City Hall Stations are within a block of the Central Library.

New for 2019: Build an Imaginairium keepsake (the bracelet and beads are free thanks to a super donor). Every event has its own bead, which you can easily add to the leather string you’ll pick up at your first show (don’t worry, we’ll have Bead Elves standing by to help). Will you be the lucky patron who finds each author’s lone extra-special bead? Share photos of your keepsakes on Instagram using the tag #ImaginAIRium2019. Who knows which authors and book lovers will want to connect back with you?
Move between our two venue hubs with ease. A shuttle will be traveling between Memorial Park Library and Central Library. More info coming soon. Watch this space full details about pick up and drop off locations, as well as shuttle times. You can also find parking options for both hubs here.

Wordfest strives to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all. Please strive with us. Embracing and encouraging diversity is an essential part of our programming and our values. All festival venues are accessible to those with limited mobility. Please visit our website for details or contact the box office with any questions or concerns. Courtesy seating is available upon request. All festival venues have gender neutral bathroom facilities.
If your financial situation limits your ability to experience our festival, please contact us. We have a limited number of complimentary passes and tickets, thanks to the generosity of our individual donors.
Wordfest works with approximately 200 volunteers every year. Volunteers assume a variety of roles that contribute to our success, during the Imaginairium and at year-round events. If you see someone in a Wordfest T-Shirt, they are one of our fantastic volunteers.
If you want to volunteer please click here to sign up, sign in, or read all the details.
Owl’s Nest Books returns as the official festival bookseller. In addition to featured tables at every event, we will have pop-up stores featuring offerings from all of the 2019 Imaginairium authors on the 2nd floor of Memorial Park Library and the mezzanine of the Patricia A. Whelan Performance Hall at Central Library.
Please join our authors and become active members of the Imaginairium community by sharing photos and posts online. Use the hashtag #ImaginAIRium2019. Tag us on Twitter using @WordfestTweets. Tag us on Instagram using @wordfest. Who knows which authors will want to connect right back with you?
