Sjón

Sjón (Iceland) was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, and had his first poetry collection, Sýnir (Visions), published at the tender age of 15. Since then, he has published numerous poetry collections and seven novels, which have been translated into 30 languages. In addition, the author has written plays, librettos and picture books for children. Sjón has also taken part in a wide range of art exhibitions and music events. The writer has frequently worked with Björk, leading to an Oscar nomination for his lyrics for the Lars von Trier movie Dancer in the Dark. Sjón currently resides in Reykajavik with his wife and children.
