A Tribute to Patrick Lane
Patrick Lane has a hold on Wordfest’s soul: he brought the wattage of his reputation to the very first festival in 1996, returned repeatedly with his great love and muse, the poet Lorna Crozier, and we were blessed to present his last live event in spring 2018, the launch of his final novel hosted by Calgary poet Rosemary Griebel. Please join Lorna and Rosemary, along with Patrick’s protégé Steven Price and acolyte Richard Harrison, in a Wordy Wake presided over by his great friend Shelagh Rogers, with musical benedictions provided by the great, gritty Aaron Young.
