Glenbow Museum Theatre, 130 9th Ave SE, 12:30pm – 1:45pm Dédicaces et autographes jusqu’à 02 :15pm Andrée Poulin, auteur de La plus grosse Poutine du monde et de Pablo trouve un trésor et Camille Bouchard, auteur de Cahokia se retrouve ensemble pour des presentations autour de thème de la persévérance en dépit des conditions difficiles. Ces trois livres pour jeunes adultes (5ème à 9ème années) intègrent des sujet percutants tel que l'intimidation, la perte de la famille et de l'enfance, la pauvreté, avec des histoires néanmoins divertissantes qui résonneront avec les lecteurs et en leur montrant les façons dont on peut surmonter ces défis. Cet événement est en français et donnera aux lecteurs l’opportunité de rencontrer deux auteurs francophones canadiens. Andrée Poulin’s The Biggest Poutine in the World and Pablo Finds a Treasure and Camille Bouchard’s Cahokia tie together to express an overall all theme of perseverance despite hard conditions. These three young adult books (grades five to nine) integrate impactful underlying subject matter such as, bullying, the loss of family and child poverty, with entertaining stories that will resonate with readers and convey to them how one can overcome such challenges. This presentation will be given in French and will give readers a chance to meet two Canadian Francophone authors.
