Dr. Julia Shaw is a senior lecturer in criminology at London South Bank University. She was previously a lecturer at the University of Bedforshire and taught courses at the University of British Columbia and the University of Waterloo. A Canadian citizen, Dr. Shaw holds a BA from Simon Fraser University and a PhD from the University of British Columbia. She is one of only a handful of experts in the world who actively conducts research on so-called “false memories.” She has worked with the British police to advise on historical sexual and physical abuse cases, and has been featured as an expert internationally on TV, radio and in the press.
