After 15 years as a freelance artist and indie comics creator in Calgary, Sam Hester landed serendipitously in the emerging field of graphic recording and hasn’t looked back since. One of Alberta’s most sought-after visual practitioners, Sam collaborates with a wide range of organizations. She captures their stories by drawing upon deep listening skills, a unique graphic style, a passion for community-building … and a lot of markers.
