Guillaume Morissette

Guillaume Morissette (QC, Canada) is the author of the collection of stories and poems I Am My Own Betrayal. His work has appeared in Maisonneuve, HTMLGIANT, Carte-Blanche, Little Brother Magazine, Metazen and Thought Catalog. At Wordfest, the author presents his latest novel, New Tab, which is set in Montreal and spans a year in the life of a twenty-six-year-old videogame designer as he attempts to reset his life. In the process, the novel chronicles the man’s boredom, self-destruction, Facebook chats, bilingualism, good parties, bad parties, backyard cinema, social anxiety and possibly illegal DIY venue. Like the protagonist in his novel, the author currently lives in Montreal.
