Wordfest Little Free Library in Eau Claire Market

Wordfest is proud to steward its own Little Free Library in Eau Claire Market for the enjoyment of readers of all ages in the surrounding community.

A Little Free Library is essentially a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbours share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. The boxes are often built by volunteers, painted by local artists and maintained by community groups and organizations.

Wordfest was fortunate to receive a Little Free Library from Calgary Reads, which will remain at Eau Claire Market for public enjoyment. We documented the picking up, painting, and displaying of our Little Free Library on social media. See highlights here!
