About the Wordfest Youth Program

Wordfest is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that contributes to the cultural vitality of the community by bringing readers and writers together through the power of story.

Wordfest brings writers from across Canada and around the world in contact with young readers at fun, educational events that promote a love of reading and a deeper appreciation of the written word.

The youth program also presents authors and illustrators working in a variety of languages including English, French and Spanish. Events are held in public theatres, in schools and other venues. The 20th annual Wordfest runs October 13-18, 2015.
