Arizona O’Neill

Arizona O’Neill is a Montreal-based multidisciplinary artist, known for her video and illustrative work. She is very active in the Montreal arts scene, having exhibited video work online, in gallery settings, in apartments, for CBC, and on the street corner. Her monthly painted illustrations fill the window of the Drawn & Quarterly bookstore in Mile End. She has created original videos for artists such as Walter Scott, Laurence Philomene, and Patrick Watson. She has edited two anthologies, one composed of cat illustrations and the other of reinterpretations of Victorian dating manuals. O’Neill’s book of illustrated graphic interviews with celebrated and controversial Quebec artists will be released with Marchand de feuilles in fall 2022.

She joins the Wordfest team as the Imaginairium’s first Filmmaker in Residence. Watch for her throughout the festival.
