Arizona O’Neill

Arizona O’Neill

Arizona O’Neill is a multidisciplinary artist from Montreal, known for her directing and illustration work. She is very active in the Montreal art scene and has had her video productions shown on the web, in galleries, on the CBC, in flats and on the street. In 2022, she was Wordfest’s fall Imaginairium festival filmmaker in residence. Her painted illustrations grace the window of the Mile End bookstore Drawn & Quarterly. O’Neill has created original music videos in collaboration with artists such as Walter Scott, Laurence Philomène, and Patrick Watson, and has been the literary director for two collectives. She and her mother Heather O’Neill host a monthly book column on CBC Montreal’s Homerun. O’Neill lives in Montreal with her partner and a dog named Gatsby.

FESTIVAL BOOK

Est-ce qu’un artiste peut être heureux?

Wordfest note: We love Arizona and want you to discover her book celebrating 12 Quebec artists (available only in French). She is bringing copies in her suitcase to the Imaginairium.
