Anne Kennedy

Anne Kennedy (New Zealand) is a poet, fiction writer, script developer, editor and teacher of creative writing. In 2014, Kennedy was selected for the University of Auckland residency at the Michael King Writers’ Centre and won The Nigel Cox Unity Books Award. At Wordfest, the authorpresents her latest novel, The Last Days of the National Costume, about GoGo Sligo, who mends clothes at Megan Sligo Mending and Alterations. While sewing, GoGo receives the scandalous truth behind the rips and tears brought for her to fix and helps them cover their tracks from their loved ones. Kennedy currently resides in Auckland, New Zealand.
