We’ve heard it over and over again from educators and parents: middle schoolers can be tough sells when it comes to reading. But we know how important it is to instill a lifelong love of books while they’re still young, and that’s why we’re bringing you Wesley King (Benny on the Case) and two Governor General’s Literary Award winners: Susin Nielsen (Tremendous Things) and David Robertson (At World’s End: The Misewa Saga Book Six). These three have proven themselves to be middle-grade phenoms, and they are ready to talk about what really hooks tweens on reading.
This event is organized in collaboration with the Canada Council for the Arts to celebrate the finalists and winners of the Governor General’s Literary Awards.
