We have a special Imaginairium this year, 25 at 25, to celebrate Wordfest’s 25th Anniversary. 25 events, featuring 25 of Canada’s most amazing fiction writers, Sept. 29 to Oct. 4, 2020. This pass gets you access to all regular events. You can reserve tickets in advance (subject to availability) or be admitted on a first come, first served basis at the door. The pass excludes food-related events and events occurring outside the main festival dates. 2020 Pass Holders also save on the box office fees normally added to the price of single tickets.

Platinum and Platinum Plus Pass Holders can reserve complimentary tickets in advance to all regular festival events, as well as year-round events until the end of December 2020. The regular Platinum pass includes your choice of 1 food experience or special event. Platinum Plus members can choose 4 food experiences or special events.

Trust us, you won’t want to miss a moment of 25 at 25, featuring 25 of Canada’s most beloved fiction writers in 25 spectacular events at Memorial Park Library, Decidedly Jazz Dance Centre and the Bella Concert Hall.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to enable us to start our events on time, please arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of showtime to guarantee your seat. Latecomer entry is at the discretion of front of house staff.

The following routes and bus stops are within a block of Memorial Park Library. Also, the main Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations servicing downtown are only a 15 minute walk away.
Street parking is available near Memorial Park Library, and some areas such as 13 Avenue may have free spots after 6pm. Please read street signage carefully before parking your vehicle. Nearby paid parking lots include ImPark Lot #77, Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre Parking Lot, and Hotel Arts Non Guest Parking.
DJD DANCE CENTRE THEATRE

The DJD Dance Centre has a parkade for ticket holders (available after 5pm and Saturdays & Sundays). You will receive a code for the parkade with your ticket purchase. You can access the parkade off of Centre Street (at the back of the Kahanoff Centre). Two large paid-public parking lots are located at the South and East sides of the building. Two-hour meter street parking is available on Center Street SE, between 12 and 13 Avenue SE. Two disabled parking spaces are available on the south side of the building.

The Calgary Central Library is one block east of the former Central Library building and just behind City Hall. The Performance Hall is located on the same level as the main entrance, which is up the exterior ramps and stairs from street level. Come find us directly to the left of the main doors once inside.
If this is your first time at the new library, you may want to consult the “Getting Here” and “Accessibility” pages on the Calgary Public Library website. Lane and road closures around the East Village are listed on the EV Experience website.
If you are taking Light Rail Transit (LRT), the East-Bound and West-Bound City Hall Stations are within a block of the Central Library.
We recommend any of the paid lots in the East Village listed below. Please remember to read parking signage and payment instructions carefully before leaving your vehicle.

Wordfest works with approximately 150 volunteers every year. Volunteers assume a variety of roles that contribute to our success, during the fall festival and at year-round events. If you see someone in a Wordfest T-Shirt, they are one of our fantastic volunteers.

With few exceptions, books by the authors and hosts featured in our events will be available for sale in the venue lobby before and after the show through our partnerships with Owl’s Nest Books (815a 49 Ave SW) and Shelf Life Books (1302 4 St SW), two of Calgary’s finest independent bookshops. In addition to selling the featured books, they also bring a limited selection of past titles by the author (if available). And if you missed the chance to buy a book at one of our events, their store locations have a wide selection of past Wordfest titles.
